We’ve basically been doing school and nothing else these days. So, this blog is reflecting that. Plenty of homeschooling tidbits are swirling in my mind as of late. I need to get them out if you don’t mind.
Here are two books we recently bought as devotional aids for the kids. Nick reads them the Bible at breakfast, and the other book at dinner.
The Jesus Storybook– a great children’s Bible that shows how each OT and NT story point to Jesus.
Big Truths for Young Hearts– an awesome way to explain and discuss theology and doctrine with children.
The kids have been enjoying them, and so have the parents. For Isabel and Andre it has been a time of asking lots of questions- which is exactly what we want. They are digging in deeper and deciding for themselves what Christianity means to them and what they think about it.
I highly recommend both of these books. What are some of your favorite children’s books?
