Food Friday: Hot and Tangy Sesame Chicken

This is a sauce that I like to make often for chicken.  It is slightly spicy with a little tang from the lemon juice.  I love a little kick in most all the food I make.  You can marinate the chicken in this sauce or follow these instruction.  Hope you enjoy. 

1 pkg chicken (I use boneless skinless here)

1 1/2 c of your favorite BBQ sauce

1 tbs soy sauce

1 tbs + 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

3 cloves of garlic minced

2 tbs lemon juice

2 tsp Dijon mustard (or spicy mustard)

coarse salt (I use Kosher)

fresh ground black pepper

sesame seeds

1 two year old for stirring purposes

preheat oven to 350 degrees


Mix together all ingredients together, set aside.  Liberally salt and pepper top of chicken breasts.  Paint up the top your chicken with the sauce mixture.  Place face down on a baking sheet. 

Salt and pepper the bottom (now facing up) and paint it up with sauce generously.  Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake for 20 minutes

Turn chicken over and brush on some more sauce.  Sprinkle with sesame seeds. 

Bake for another 20 minutes (or until cooked through)

Broil for 5-6 minutes or until the chicken has a crunchy look (like you grilled it)

Let stand for 5-10 minutes.

Serve over rice, pasta or taters. 

Eat it and enjoy!
